| Current Events 2010 - July The Noseworthy-Gagnon clan from Quebec returned in early July, 2010 for some great salmon fishing. Many Chinooks in the 20-30 lb. range were released in addition to limits sent to the smokehouse. |

| Gordies Tyee at 35 lbs. was the biggest Chinook for the Sargent Pontiac Group in early June 2010. | Nicholas Hutchinson accompanied by Grandpa Earl Chessan landed the salmon of a lifetime! Nick’s Tyee weighed in at 41 lbs.! This feat happened over Memorial Day weekend 2010. |

Current Events 1 2009 - May Our great friend from Colorado, Marc Scarbeary, visited over Memorial Day weekend just in time to hit the mass exodus of Chinooks from Bute Inlet by Stuart Island. Each spring, millions of herring spawn in Bute Inlet beginning in March which attracts every Chinook on the west coast. Besides keeping his limit of big ones, Marc released well over 20 salmon. |

Current Events 2 “2009” – June The 18th Anderson-Ferguson fishing challenge was held again at Nanook Lodge the first week of June. Timed to get the big Chinook’s leaving Bute Inlet, Wayne Langley with guide Harley Elias bagged this 34 lb. Tyee that put up a terrific fight on light tackle. |

Current Events 3 “2009” – July Carol Gagnon became a Tyee Club member in early July with this 38 lb. bruiser. Using a medium weight fly rod and single action reel she endured the Chinooks long runs and many jumps. |

Current Events 4 “2009” – July Cody Ritchie returned with his usual group of customers and friends. Dwayne Martin of Louisiana, “the Ragin’ Cajun,” brought twin brother Shane that had everyone seeing double! Who’s on first? |

Current Events 5 “2009” – July Our good friends Richard and Therese Noseworthy visited twice this summer from Quebec! Richard landed a Tyee as did family members Luc and Carol. |

Current Events 6 “2009” – August Kyle, Steph and Amelia really did a great job this summer cooking and serving the Nanook Lodge guests. The gals look forward to 2010 and more times. |

Current Events 7 “2009” – August Erwin Dow, owner of Everguard Insurance, hosted several groups at the lodge in 2009. These incentive trips bring Everguard agents and insurance companies together for educational segments and relaxing salmon fishing. Kevin Scally and JC Krumpols had a great last morning before leaving on the 10 passenger turbine otter floatplane. |

Current Events 8 “2009” – Late summerPeter and Peggy Dow of Seattle helped host Nanook’s first couples seafood & wine celebration. Using locally caught or foraged ingredients, everyone pitched in to help the Dow’s prepare outstanding seafood dinners. Along with wines from around the world and Chef Amelia’s pastries, everyone had the time of their life. Salmon fishing was also outstanding including Rita Benson’s 34 lb. Tyee! Dates are being set for two events like this in 2010! |

Cody Ritchie Group – Cody, aka the Cowboy, brought back again his top customers for 4 days of fishing with “Honcho, Skana, JR, Thumper & G-man.” Cody’s boys, the Rajun Cajun, Budman, Frosty Flake, & Bronco Billy to name a few terrorized the local salmon returning with healthy coolers! |

Big Dog and the Arizona highwaymen We can’t remember but think this was the 8th trip in as many years for Harvey, Larry, Josh, Lonnie & Ed from Arizona. Escaping to cooler temps in the 70’s in August was much preferable to over 100 in AZ. |

Barney and Carolyn Visser of Denver, longtime friends of the Anderson family, brought their kids, spouses and family to the lodge in August. Besides catching loads of salmon they enjoyed the adventure day viewing the Phillips River Valley looking for bears. |

Stovall Kendrick enjoyed the spring fishing in Bute Inlet so much he came back in September and brought with five of his buddies. Part of the reason was to participate in the Phillips River brood stock recovery for our local hatchery. While at the lodge the group, captured many brood stock salmon in the Phillips, saw multiple grizzly bears and registered the last Tyee of 2008 at Nanook Lodge! (A Tyee is a Chinook salmon weighing 30+ lbs.) |

September 14-16, 2007 was the weekend for the inaugural Anderson “C & C” tournament. 9 teams competed for prized Chinooks and Chums over three days with lots of great eating, fishing and fun! Saturday night’s dinner was a pre-wedding surprise party for Stephanie Hauptman and Sam Anderson. Besides the guests, our surrounding Big Bay neighbors helped celebrate the upcoming nuptials. A roast pig, turkey and salmon were served on the deck for everyone! |

Following the annual herring migration and salmon near the lodge, guides and players enjoyed terrific fishing and camaraderie. A new hot spot in the inlet was named “the 49’er end zone” after many large Chinooks were caught by the guys! |

San Francisco 49’ers visit Nanook Lodge. Offensive Linemen Eric Heitman, Kwame Harris, David Baas, Justin Smiley, and Adam Synder joined kicker Joe Nedney and quarterback Shawn Hill for salmon fishing at Nanook Lodge. The group hosted by Dave Zeising, longtime buddy and teammate of Joe Nedney at San Jose State ventured into Bute Inlet last May taking advantage of the schooling Chinook salmon. |

Ending 2005 with BIG success!! After another spring and summer filled with great weather, guests and fishing, Nanook Lodge had a terrific September highlighted with many Tyees over 30 lbs. Scott Balcos, a veteran Nanook angler, landed his 36 lb. Tyee in mid-September during the start of the regular Chum run. Scotty is already signed up for his first trip in May of 2006. |

Dr. Bob Bailey, Rich Scanlon and Mike Foreman are returning to Nanook Lodge the first week of June, 2006, in hopes of landing another \"Tyee\" king salmon. All are members of the Nanook Tyee Club with Dr. Bob\'s 44 lb. monster still leading the largest caught during any of the past Anderson-Ferguson contests. Joe Anderson and Dave Ferguson, derby hosts, are in their 14th year of fishing with Nanook and look forward to each years trip. All of the Nanook guides are anxious to have their name engraved alongside each years winner on the famous toilet seat |
